The Loudoun School of Ballet (LSB), fostering a tradition of excellence in dance education since 1977, has trained more than 20,000 dancers. LSB is a proverbial home away from home for dancers young and older who enjoy the athleticism, camaraderie, artistry, and discipline of dancing, and for others who discover a life-long passion that leads them to a professional career in ballet or contemporary dance. While its name implies ballet training, LSB offers classes in all dance genres: classical ballet, pointe, contemporary ballet, jazz, commercial jazz, contemporary, modern, tap, Broadway, lyrical, hip-hop, and musical theatre. With their combined decades of experience training, performing, choreographing, and teaching, our teachers provide the highest level of instruction in all genres, which allows the dancers to reach their fullest potential. For our youngest dancers – the preschool age we like to call Rising Stars, we provide fun, imaginative learning experiences that teach beginner technique through creative music and storytelling, including magical stage performances that will melt your heart.
